Soil Health Report

Interpretation of Soil Analysis and on-farm measuring methods to understand the status of the soil and what are the priority areas to improve on.

This educational software-tool uses data from a soil analysis plus on-farm measurements as a basis to understand the state of the Soil. The Soil Health report gives a total health value of the soil where each sub-area of the 5Ms are valued separately. It also highlights what areas are weak and should be priority for improvement. Theare  report explains the effects of weak and gives relevant tips and practices on how to improve them. In the future we will use video tutorials and on-site training to explain simple but valuable on-farm methods for measuring soil health.

Soil Nutrition Tutor

Software tool that translates soil-analysis and other data to crop-specific nutritional requirements and help build a fertilizer program or improve on an existing one.

This add-on tool focuses on the first M or Mineral Balance and helps balancing the minerals in the soil through fertilization and organic inputs. The Fertilizer Tutor is a tool that calculates the nutrients and fertilizers needed for a specific crop and region, which type of fertilizers to use and when it is appropriate to apply them according to the phase of the crop. The idea of this tool is to eliminate the typical mistakes that create excesses and deficiencies (at any phase of the plant) of one of the 12 nutrients that cause several problems in quality, productivity and plant health. We work with a network of growers, agronomists and soil & nutrition experts to adjust the results to local and variable crop conditions and grower habits.

Define based on the analysis and recommendation a Fertilizer program for 100% certified organic and regenerative production (high yielding). Combined with this Tutor we support in sourcing local inputs in our network for organic and regenerative fertilization and soil improvement. We can help source directly from importers and wholesalers to get the same high quality inputs as the large “fundos” or farms get at similar low prices. Here we also source the inputs for the Liquid and Solid Biofertilizer explained below.

Fertilization Program Builder

You can check your current program for deficiencies or excesses or build a new program using the Nutritional Data from the Soil Nutrition Tool. Select either organic and mineral fertilization or a combination.

Satelite Monitoring

Data algorithms from IrriWatch that help monitor crop quality, productivity, early stress/disease alert and soil humidity conditions for irrigation or soil management practices.

To make the measuring of results easier, we will use a combination of handy on-farm measurement methods combined with Satellite Remote Sensing technology from IrriWatch.
IrriWatch uses Remote Sensing data from a series of Satellites that through a innovative set of algorithms is able to generate conclusions on some of the more important variables in our M&E. It is a system and software that uses satellite technology to analyze a specific field. It reads “remote sensing” or remote reading the soil and crop for different variables that through algorithms can define productivity and crop health, nitrogen absorption, soil carbon fixation and water balance and irrigation. It reports daily data from micro-lots that allows us to fine tune irrigation, fertilization and soil management.

Biofertilizer Production

Support and tips to build an on-farm or centralized biofertilizer plant. Produce your own low-cost microbiology and fertilizers using high quality inputs and quality monitoring practices

The third M of Organic Matter is covered by our Compost guidance and Condensed Compost solution as a solid biofertilizer. The small volume condensed compost solution produces a concentrated compost that contains high concentrations of active carbon, minerals and microbiology; nutrients that are often missing. The method can be implemented centralized (association) and de-centralized (on-farm) as these are composting techniques that require much less organic matter but can serve as a practical medium to transport these nutrients and microbiology to the plants.

Normal large composting is often not interesting to farmers as it requires a lot of work and expensive logistics to move the compost to the field. We have therefore developed a reduced size compost-formula that has high carbon/nitrogen concentration in the right balance, all of the needed micro-nutrients and a broad set of beneficial bacteria and fungi for a healthy soil and nutrient uptake. This can be made into batches of 500 or 1000 kg to applied twice a year in 250 or 500 kg per Hectare.

Farmer Group Monitoring

Online & offline app to administer data from farmers in associations or certification groups. Includes monitoring indicators, gps-mapping, foto-history and other customizable data. Monitoring tools include proven indicators, practical measuring methods, data-gathering and reporting.

Fertilizer Mixtures

Simplify fertilization to larger groups of small-scale farmers with ready-made mixtures that balance all needed nutrients and soil-improvement inputs. We partner up with sourcing inputs, setting up mixing facilitation and connect to the Soil Nutrient Calculator to match specific soil and crop requirements..
